Head to your printer and remove the cable from its rear port and the power outlet. On your computer, click the Windows icon and select Power> Restart.
In many cases, restarting the computer and printer resolves this issue. This will rectify the printer not printing black issue. If the printhead is clogged, go ahead and clean the printheads. If the problem persists, run the nozzle check pattern to check for clogged nozzles. Try printing a test page from a connected computer to ensure the issue is resolved. Ensure you have removed the protective film from the ink cartridges before inserting them into their slots. If you use any third-party ink cartridge, replace it with a genuine black ink cartridge. Make sure you are using an Epson ink cartridge on your printer. If the remaining black ink is low, replace the black ink cartridge with a new one. Check the black ink level first if the printer does not print black on the paper loaded. Once you update the software, see if your printer can print documents. 
If the printer driver is outdated, you need to get the recent version from Epson's official website and install it on your computer.Go to your Windows computer's Devices and Printers section, right-click the printer icon, and choose the Set as default printer option. It is important to set your printer as the default one.

If you have connected them via a wireless network, ensure they are on the same network. Ensure you connect the printer and computer with a standard USB cable. If you cannot print a document from your computer, check your connection in the first place.
